Scrumptous Breakfast at Jefferson, Texas B&B

Please let us know in advance of your dietary restrictions. We will accommodate you the best we can.

Below is just a sample of some of the scrumptious dining pleasures that await you at the Benefield House. Please be sure to inform us of any dietary needs or allergies.

Cantaloupe Butterfly

A twist on a Fruit salad. This whimsical butterfly is certainly good enough to eat. With blueberries, strawberries, grapes and of course cantaloupe. A dollop of whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon sure add more than just “body” to this course.

Fruit Parfait

Layers of French Vanilla yogurt and seasonal fresh fruits, sprinkled with granola.

My Favorite Omelet

Vidalia onion, red pepper, green peppers and mushrooms, on a pillow of fluffy eggs and cheddar cheese.

Breakfast at Benefield House Bed and Breakfast & Inn
Breakfast at Benefield House Bed and Breakfast & Inn

HASH BROWN CRUSTED HAM & CHEESE QUICHE

A crust of crispy hash browns is the perfect nest for these fluffy eggs, ham & cheddar cheese. Definitely a “man’s” quiche!

HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE WAFFLES

Individually made with Grandma’s Waffle maker. Light and fluffy, with a hint of delectable chocolate. Not too sweet.

Meats

Bacon, sausage patties, sausage links, ham steaks and for our non-pork eating guests we offer turkey bacon and turkey sausage.

Potatoes

Prepared in various ways, but always seasoned in my families traditional way using only herbs and spices.

Southern Charm and Modern Conveniences

“My wife and I took a three-day getaway to East Texas to relax and rejuvenate. We chose the Benefield House because it is within walking distance of downtown Jefferson and its beauty and amenities. We were there mid-week so enjoyed our leisurely continental breakfast in the lovely main dining room. As we were the only guests, we had the entire house to ourselves. We stayed in the Cardinal Suite which is huge and very quiet and peaceful. It features a king-sized bed and private bath with great water pressure. Only sounds were the birds during the day and people walking or riding bikes. In the evening, there was a gentle chorus of crickets and tree frogs.”
